A little story about SQUARE:

The Square, smallest of all robots designed by Rothchild and Co. Essentially an autonomous intelligence (allied troop position, enemy position, telemetry) gathering machine, the Square plays such a pivotal part in all battlefields on both sides that Rothchild had to devise special empathy features on top of heavy armor to help lengthen their up-time in the field. Known as the “carnival effect”, the Square attempts to disarms all those who come across it with sickly childish features combined with specially designed audio emissions of the phrases such as: “Why can’t we just get along?” and “Come out and play”, all with the tone of a small child.

KAWS X Sorayama

When everyone getting ready for the 4' dissected companion. Here is a new crossover work from KAWS X Sorayama. Will release soon and with a very limited numbers and very select accounts. The 33cm high and 3kilo metal figure with movable parts will be released in two colorways, silver/chrome and black/chrome.

A matching tee will also be released in two colorways, black and white. The figure has a price tag of $1400 US. The tees will go for about $112 US.

Hot Toys : HellBoy II

Been a HellBoy fans for so long and I remember back in 2004 I got a chance to see the handmade HellBoy 12" figure by Gorae SH. Kim from my friend. And sadly I can't be able to purchase one at that time.

Now five years later, Hot Toys get Gorae SH. Kim to sculpt the head, hand and body for this HellBoy. I have to say the head sculpt is way better than the hand made one. But I do like how Gorae used real hair for the hand made one and inserted eye balls. Painting for this HT one is by J.C. Hong. All the accessories that come with the figure are so detail.

Abe Sapien is sculpted by Pan Mak, there are magnet in the goggle and that made is easily to put on the figure head. The breathing apparatus even make it look like there is water inside. HT is really good at detail.

Highly recommand to all HellBoy fans......these two figures are awesome....!!

PS: added a belt to my Brian HellBoy....haha..!!

MINDstyle...23 TwoThree.

Received this MINDstyle twothree blue jersey version. The first thing that I notice on this figure is that the white color is pearl white, not just flat white color. Other than that the rest are same as the Bulls twothree.

MINDstyle will be doing a lot with ML this year, especially the 10th annivesrary in L.A. Look forward to this event for sure.

3A Associates.

Received this 3AA package last week, the whole package is well put together. The emblem on the box is cool. Each box are numbered and the figure that come with it also numbered. Membership card it has your name on it. I thought the figure is going to be a very small one, but I think this size are good. The paint job on the figure is fantastic. A 3A black tee is coming with the package as well.

The great deal of being a member is able to get 3A figures ahead of time with discount. And of course exclusive figure like this Gebi de Plume. I do like the 12" and some robot from 3A, through out this year I'm sure the membership will do me good.

Tokyo Tribe 3 - Minato.

Spot this Tokyo Tribe 3 figure "Minato" over at Santa Inoue blog from Santastic! expect to be release in November. This time the figure are produced by Medicom instead of How2work. Because the previous 12" Kai and Merra are produced by How2work, and I'm still waiting for Terra. But now it seem like Santa Inoue are already starting TT3 figures.

Michael Lau X Star Trek.

The Star Trek movie in theater May 7. Here is The Enterprise project that 24 artists customize the Enterprise. This is the one done by ML.

Tim Tsui X LI-NING "The Revolution of Green".

Finally some news related to Tim Tsui, he recently had a crossover project with "Li-Ning" brand in Beijing China, and is called "The Revolution of Green." Tim did some installment and tee release at the exhibition.

Surprise to see the 4 wooden statues of Minic and other characters. Each stand over 6ft. tall. I like the wooden Minic and they should consider make that into a production piece.

DoubleLine - Fools Paradise.

My friend Alan formerly from Boredomsqueezer come solo this time and called doubleline. Going to release his Fools Paradise series soon. As many of you might know Boredomsqueezer are focus on hand made 12" figures. But this time Fools Paradise will be different, and NO...is not vinyl, is going to be a statue.

We saw the sculpting progress of Zoo and Keiko. But the first to be relesae from the serie is "Kids". And it will be limited to 100 pcs and each come with a cert. More info coming up about this "kids".

Ashley Wood - Gebi de Plume.

Here come might be the last de plume from Ashley Wood. The first figure from 3A was the Nom de Plume, this time is 3AA exclusive 1st figure and is called "Gebi de Plume" desolate, solitary and in despair. This one will be limited to 100 pcs.

So far the de plume figures is the cool looking figures from 3A so far. This new one going to have a desert theme to it. Wait for the release date and price.....finally a good thing that I got the 3AA membership.

LazyBrian secret.....pt 2.

Here is the new accessories that I did for my LazyBrian secret other than the six pairs of hands. I added the "Right hand of Doom" "The Samaritan" and the cross with chain on the left hand.

Don't get me wrong...I do enjoy the original look of the Lazy Brian secret, but am just having fun to do this.

Relaxing weekend....

These day at the company my staffs are working very hard. Because of the economy we have to work even harder. When others are slowing down, it is good time for us to run faster.

Finally is weekend, can relax a bit and hang around with friends. And will spend sometimes to open up some figures to take some photos.

CSBOOTH16......

Thanks to my friend in HK, here is my CSBOOTH16. I'll open up each one of them and smell the fresh vinyl and of course will play with it.

Brian & Brian......

As many of you know Brian was released back in 2002 from Bandai. The head sculpt from the Bandai one do look better, but the new version from CSBOOTH16 the overall body sculpt are cool. So.....what do you think~?!

Brian & Elsa...

No doubt Brian is cool, but Elsa is a surprise from this CSBOOTH16. ML is considering to end the Gardener vinyl series, it will be pity not to see the rest of the main Gardener characters being release before he end it.

Lazy Brian with the LAZY CLAN.....

Lazy version of Gardener, look at them individually might be a bit dull. But to have the LAZY CLAN show up as a group is just cool. Lazy Brian from CSBOOTH16 join back to the clan. Hope ML will release the rest of the Lazy Clan before he might put stop to Gardener vinyl series.

LazyBrian secret.......

The secret version is harder to get this time at CSBOOTH16 compare to the previous event. This time the ratio is 25:1 before is 10:1. This is the only secret version that I got out of Brian and Elsa. But this Lazy Brain secret version do look a bit like hellboy compare to the Brian and Young Brian secret version. It must be this one without the eyebrows, and the eyes.

I painted the eye from white to yellow...and had some fun with the "right hand of doom" on him.

Snake Square....

The king of crossover "Square". This time called "Snake Square" and he is more playful than before. See the first pic Square with the Snake Square wig that make him look a bit like Hello Kitty.

Takashi Murakami “inochi”.

Takashi Murakami his solo exhibition "inochi" will be held in Tokyo at the Kaikai Kiki gallery from April 3 - April 16. I'm not a big fans of Takashi Murakami, but I do like the design of this "inochi". There will be "inochi" action figures available.

Fashioned with an astounding attention to detail, the inochi action figure is a small-scale replica of the original sculpture, created by world renowned toy manufacturer Medicom Toy. Like its larger counterpart, which was subject to over six years of work before reaching completion, the action figure has been in planning for nearly three years. The result features a level of perfection that exceeds that of a mere toy and accords it the status of a work of art. The figure also comes with costuming, in the form of inochi’s school uniform and rucksack, both of which are removable. Each figure will be available with costumes in 5 colors, identical to those worn by the original, and also as a special set of 5.

The figures were produced in separate limited editions of 200 each and all, of course, are personally autographed by Takashi Murakami. Prices vary, with the ED120 edition valued at 150,000 yen (approximately $1500). A select number of the figures are scheduled to be on sale at the exhibition venue.

Takashi Murakami created a life size "inochi" back in 2004, it was a stunning piece and I felt he got some crazy imagination. I will keep my eyes open for this figure.

The GodFather...

2009 seem like will be a big year for ML, CSBOOTH16 just finished and already gave us hint that CSBOOTH17 might be in August. September we'll have Gardener 10th Anniversary.

Here is Michael Lau X MINDstyle X GodFather. Not many info for now, but on the poster it said "authentic and original premium limited edition art toys" and coming July 2009. We'll see what the GodFather of vinyl will create that we can't refuse.

CSBOOTH16 is now up on Ningyoushi, all of the secret versions are sold out. Each Gardener figure are $90US, Snake Square they got all 3 colors each for $125US. Gardener secret versions are $190US each...(sold out).!!

KAWS - Companion key chains.

Received the Companion key chains today from Japan. Each one stand about 2" tall and the quality is not bad. For me I won't use it as key chains or anything else, just is better off for me to remove that hooks and just treat it as a mini figures. The green and blue GID one are bright in the dark.....!!

CSBOOTH16 : aftermath....

Just finished CSBOOTH16 last weekend and this is a start for Gardener 10th anniversary at L.A. ML this time didn't follow what he did before for the secret figures, and many collectors thoughts that he will release Hellboy and Marge Simpson style figures, and the HELLBOSS as well. But he is only changing color for the secret figures. And the secret figures are less than before, ratio is 25:1 and many collectors didn't expect the number are that low.

Snake Square suddenly has a brown and black versions during the release, many collectors at the event wanna get all 3 colors. In the end all of the CSBOOTH16 products (each limited to 250 pcs) all SOLD OUT.

ML want to have CSBOOTH17 before the Gardener 10th anniversary in September. It will be a brand new series that we all waiting for. Finally something new and fresh. Better start saving now.....!!

CSBOOTH16: Day 2, like we all expected is the Elsa and Young Elsa, also the secret version is changed the brown skin to yellow to match the Merge Simpson style. Snake Square was also available but in 3 color variants (brown, black and green) for the crocodile helmet.

Ashley Wood - Oyabun : Oya and Naga are available today for 3AA member. Available in a 2 figures pack (only 70 sets) for $300 (3AA price $255). And also available individually for $150 (3AA price $127.50). It will be available tomorrow for general public.

CSBOOTH16 : DAY 2. Today released Snake Square, Elsa and Young Elsa only..No HellBoss. For Snake Square it came in 3 colors for the crocodile helmet and tail Black, Brown and Green. Other than the helmet and tail changed color the rest stay the same.

For Elsa and Young Elsa, the secret like I guessed.....brown skin changed to yellow to fit the Merge Simpson thing.

There are also some white sample figure available for "BID". Starting bid price at $1000 HKD.

Gardener series STILL~??!

Gardener vinyl series started since 2003. Originally ML hope to finish off the series in 3 years. But this is not gonna happen and for him this series is very time consuming that he can't start doing something else that he wanna to do. In recent issue of Milk magazine that he have an idea that he wanna to stop this series.

He would like to know is collectors got any suggestion for him on how to wrap up this series. You can have your say in the crazytoyz : forum.

CSBOOTH16 : DAY 1. Day one of CSBOOTH16 released Brian, Young Brian, Lazy Brian. Each version also has a chase figure. As many speculate will it be a figure that look like HellBoy with a new sculpt. Just like previous CSBOOTH...DJ TOMMY : DJ Panda, Prodig : Off World Creature, Jordon : TwoThree.

Here you go...this is the chase for Brian and Lazy Brian. For Young Brian just imagine the brown skin turned to Red...!!

Day two the Elsa chase probably turned the brown skin to yellow..just to match the Merge Simpson. Let's see other than Elsa, Young Elsa and Snake Square, will that be any surprise.

Where is the 1000%..??!

Received the KAWS OF dissected bearbrick 400% and Warm regards today while I'm still waiting for the 1000%. I know there are many peeps out there still waiting for their confirmation. Good luck to them. This is my 2nd 400% bearbrick (1st one is the dark wood), and it is lighter than I thought.

The Ron English Grin is not bad, like it a lot. The normal version will release in April 1st.

PS: Let's hope this week will get the tracking for the 1000%.

Michael Lau - CSBOOTH16 - Gardener Still.

This coming weekend is the CSBOOTH16, from the previous ads we all know Brian and Elsa is going to release. Now we are also confirmed that Lazy Brian, Young Brian and Young Elsa is going to be part of the release too. The chase Hellboy figure for Brian and Marge Simpson for Elsa is still a mystery.

The package for Snake Square is bigger than all the others package, the pixelized image that we saw last time, now it shown clearly that it is the crocodile Snake, and also come with the Snake Hair wigs for Square....hahaa..!!

From this Milk magazine layout from Tomm, the topic it said "Landing in U.S - Gardener 10th Anniversary" presented by MINDstyle. Reason for that is because on September 29 (birthday of Gardener), there will be an Exhibition in Los Angeles. Finally after 10 years...he is coming to North America.

CSBOOTH16...we saw a drawing that looks like Metal Gear Solid Snake ads early this week. Here the pixelized image of the figure "Snake Square". From the shape of it....do remind me of the 12" figure released by Medicom for Metal Gear Solid, the one with a crocodile cap. This "Snake Square" do look like wearing a helmet....and also with a tail.

There are some packages for the Gardener vinyl, from the shadow can you tell what it is~?? I spot Brian, Lazy Brian, Square and Elsa.....!!! Can't wait to see more.

Another update from crazysmiles for the upcoming CSBOOTH16. This one I'm sure everyone know what it is, base on the world famous video game "Metal Gear Solid". This time ML used gardener character "SQUARE" to represent "SNAKE".

Michael Lau : MINDstyle...SK3.

This is the first box set for any collector and completist because Michael Lau has done it again with a super cool white and monotone exclusive version for MINDstyle.

The 3 piece set is packaged with accessories. The SK3 set proved to be a highly collectible for Michael Lau enthusiasts. As the original release the 2bb1 were randomly packed in different color versions of blue, yellow, green, silver and red. This is the ultimate set as it is the only box set with matching colored figures.

The set will be available to ATS members first with any remaining balance being offered to the public.

The MINDstyle twothree will be release next week along with the new color variants for the SK3 set. For the twothree the blue jersey is normal version and the white is secret version, the jersey it said "MINDSTYLE" instead of "Warriors". ATS member can be able to purchase the secret version.

The color variants for the SK3 set is not bad, especially the 2bb1.

The next character that we can expect from CSBOOTH16 is Elsa. She is Brian's girl friend.

From this poster Michael used Simpson style to create Elsa. Then again, at the back there is a shadow that looking Marge Simpson. This should be the secret version for Elsa. Stay tune for more as we counting down to CSBOOTH16.

Apexplorer : ICE : Hand Made.

For those that ordered the Apexplorer : ICE : Hand Made by Winsoncreation back in last year December and it was limited to 20pcs. Here are some update pics of the work in progress. Hand casted heads, hands and of course the hand made jackets.

Coolrain handmade figure here come a character name "Woosra" Fire version. This character was exhibit and part of the Dunk Be True Gallery in Korea last year. Each figure is hand made to detail by Coolrain and limited to 10 pcs. Pre-order start on March 1 and can expect the figure to be shipped at the end of May. Each figure cost US$700.

Spot this pic on evilBay, some seller already start selling this OF bearbrick. 1000% already selling at $899 USD each. 400% selling at $399 USD. That's crazy.......now I'll just wait after the release, see if the price will drop.

Anyways, I remember last year when I was in Japan OF shop I try to take a pic of the White Troopers that are on display. They OF staffs ran at me like wanna to kill me....so this guy who took the pics must did a lot of work to get it.

Michael Lau - CSBOOTH16 - Gardener Still.

CSBOOTH16 is going to be held March 21 and 22 at Michael Gallery, this time is called "Gardener Still" same as CSBOOTH15.

From the poster we can tell that this time the main Gardener character is going to be Brian. And notice the back there is a Hell Boy shadow. With the previous pattern...one figure with one secret, this Hell Boy might be the secret figure for Brian. And I'm sure we can expect more Gardener characters this time and of course with their secret figures.

By the way, why HELLBOY....?! Because when ML design the original Brian he is actually influence by of course his skater's friend Brian and also Mike Mignola HellBoy character. So..no doubt the secret is going to be HellBoy...!!! Back in 2001 Japan Bandai released Brian, I have to say that figure is top notch quality, maybe is because is made in Japan. I'm anxious to see this new version.

God...all the great release coming all at once...KAWS bearbrick...and now CSBOOTH16....!!!

Kaws - OF companion bearbrick.

OF is going to release this dissected Bearbrick on Feb 28. And on Feb 28 will only release the brown version. You can expect to see the mono tone and the black version in the future.

OF bearbrick come in three sizes 1000%, 400% and 100%. The price is not too bad for the 1000% priced at 27,000 yen ($290 USD), 400% at 8190 yen ($88 USD), 100% at 1575 yen ($17 USD). Let's wait and see if KAWSONE going to have up for sale soon. I need a 1000%......

It will look a lot better if the dissected part are new sculpt in 3-D.

Another Tomorrow King "Data liberator AKI" by Ashley Wood 3A is going to release on Feb 24 for 48 hours. Available at the Bambaland store. According to Ash that this Aki is going to be a little different, well....let's see how different it is...!! But for me is enough of this version.

What excite me is the OYABUN TK, Ash actually did a painting of Oyabun, from the shadow of the Oyabun is look like he is indeed wearing a large jacket and holding two swords. Available at Bambaland by March.

KAWS opening at Honor Fraser..

KAWS will be opening his art show at L.A. on Feb 21 at the Honor Fraser. The show will run til April 4.

Heard that KAWS next release will be the dissected bearbrick in 1000%, 400% and 100%. Stay tune on this.....

Ron English - Grin.

Is not news...but yes I ordered this Grin by Ron English released last month in HK, produced by Garage Works. Like how he turned Charlie Brown to this.....!! Figure is about 7" tall...don't know the edition size, there will be brown version release later.
